Cell signal. Internet. Google and YouTube. SurviveDrive still works.

In a disaster, the networks go down first, and every answer on your phone goes with them. SurviveDrive keeps hundreds of guides, maps and references on a drive in your hand, so you can still look things up when nothing else connects.

Tools that work with no signal

The things you'd normally reach for your phone to do, built into the drive.

Interactive map of the US

Zoom from the full US down to street level offline, and pin rally points and meeting spots. Includes official highway maps for all 50 states.

AI answers with sources

Ask questions in plain English. Answers draw on the library and the model's general knowledge, with quoted library passages linked to their source documents. Runs locally; nothing you type leaves your computer.

Offline translator

Translate between English and Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic and Hindi. Convert text to and from Morse code.

Turn-by-turn directions, offline

Turn-by-turn driving directions between two points on the map, with distance and estimated drive time, calculated offline. Print them for a paper copy in the vehicle. Routes don't account for live traffic or road closures.

See it in action

Screen recordings of the app running from the drive.

SurviveDrive // Offline Map

Recordings play without sound.

Try the library

This is how SurviveDrive works on your computer. Pick a situation or type what you need, and it pulls the matching manuals, guides and references from the drive.

The complete English Wikipedia, plus offline Q&A archives for DIY repair, car repair, gardening, cooking and ham radio.

Official state highway maps to view or print, for planning routes when GPS and data are down.

    Comms and printable tools

    Why a flash drive?

Your phone is great until the network fails. A shelf of books works offline, but you can't search it or carry it.

    Questions

Something not covered here? Email us.

    Does it need the internet?

No. Everything on the drive works with no connection. That's the point: it keeps working when cell service and the internet are down.

What languages does the translator support?

English to and from Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic and Hindi, plus Morse code. Translations work entirely offline.

What computers does it work on?

Windows PCs and laptops. Mac and Linux aren't supported. A low-power laptop and a solar or battery power bank make a good grid-down setup.

Where does the content come from?

US government publications such as Army field manuals and FEMA guides, openly licensed references such as Wikipedia, and original guides written for SurviveDrive. License notices for third-party content are included on the drive.

Couldn't I download all this myself?

Some of it, with a lot of time. SurviveDrive gathers hundreds of sources, adds hundreds of original guides, organizes everything by situation, and puts it behind one search box, an offline map and offline AI. You plug it in and it works.

How does the AI work without internet?

The AI model comes on the drive and runs on your computer, so nothing you type is sent anywhere. It writes a short answer using the library and its general knowledge, then shows the exact library passages it relied on, each linked to the original document. AI can make mistakes, so read the source for anything important. Library search, guides and maps all work without the AI.

    What if my computer dies?

You can plug the drive into another Windows PC. Print your most important guides ahead of time as a paper backup.

    Can I print from it?

Yes. Guides are formatted to print cleanly, so you can keep paper copies of the ones that matter most.

    How fast does it ship?

Orders ship within X business days, free to the contiguous US. You'll get a tracking number by email. See the shipping and returns policy.

What if I have a question about my order?

Email us at support@survivedrive.us and we'll help.
